dirty pop

Pop Life: Art in a Material World does a re-reading on one of the major legacies of Pop Art. This presentation takes Andy Warhol’s saying that “good business is the best art” as the starting point to reconsider the legacy of Pop Art. Pop Life: Art in a Material World looks back at the artists from the 1980s that have been in the mass media and that created their own signature “brands”. Artists include Tracey Emin, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Martin Kippenberger, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. Definitely something that will inspire the whole world as these artist inspired many artist that are here today.

Ron English x Secretbase Super Size Me Halloween Edition

OK so by now you readers should be used to my own language, right? This is what I would call Suppa Krazed. In lehman's terms that would mean bananas.

Monument Snowboards Winter Artist Series

www.monumentsnowboards.com

Sometimes I really do wish it snowed in Miami...on second thought, it`s only been in the 60`s at it`s coldest thus far and everyone has already broken out the scarves && sweaters. I don't think us locals would do too well. Ha!

BURNING MAN 2009

For those of you who think Ultra Music Fest is something to marvel at, behold! Imagine a place the size of a small city (yes, THAT huge) with endless people, great energy, even better music, and the freedom to roam where you please with no hassle. Look no further! Burning Man Festival is held in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, otherwise known as "the playa" to those who know of this mysterious, intriguing, and captivating week-long world. People travel far and long to see the wonders that come together for the adventure. Whether you're on your RV, cruising on your bake, or just plain taking a hike and going wherever the wind takes you, it is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Temporary monuments are built for people to climb and journey on, strategical statues lit up in all directions shine the night sky, and vendors sell everything from food to jewelry on various locations of this "playa". So why is it called "Burning Man"? On the last day of the festival, the huge "man" statue is...well, burned. According to reports, last year's fest was cut short because some moron burned it before time. I`m sure he feels like an ass. But this year gatherers made sure that did not happen! Mind you, I myself have never been there. After these pictures, I`m hoping my posse is convinced that this is one trip we must take!

Playboy`s Nov. Issue X Simpson`s 20th Ann.

Playboy opted for a more animated look for November`s issue by having Marge Simpson pose for the cover in honor of the Simpson's 20th Anniversary. There are definitely more frisky ones where this came from!

Veroni Touch Screen by Seeper

Not only does this magical sphere look rad, but it actually has an innovative technology that goes BEYOND rad. From a distance it looks like a tent with some design on the outside lit from the inside. WRONG. SOOOO WRONG. This digital tent is actually screaming for you to approach it, touch it, and be amazed. Users who place their hands on this marvelous contramption will be nothing less than amused for hours, for everytime you touch and sweep your hand on it, the patterns change. You are basically the pattern maker. Choose any direction you want, and the lines shall follow. For more deetz check out www.seeper.com (:
