Harper's Bazaar(September Issue/Surscriber's cover) got the Queen to play the King. Yes, the Queen of the British Punk Craze Agyness Deyn to pay tribute to the King of Pop, the one and only Michael Jackson. What I love the most about this editorial is the lack of mourning and sadness, but instead showing an amazingly bright celebration of the many looks Mikey rocked through his iconic career. This screams NO MORE TEARS and it's certainly not paired with another article trying to define or understand who MJ was and simply celebrates his vividness and light. Oh and did I mentioned Agyness Deyn??? =) =) =)
Mr. Ray Replies:
Seriously? I mean, Seriously???!! This is a certainly late and somewhat disappointing tribute. Even tho I have to say that our "IT-GIRL", the always fabulous Agyness Deyn, rocks most of the looks I still can't fail to feel such a pittiful emptiness in this whole editorial. The photography is acceptable at some point, yet not good enough for Harper's Bazaar quality. And I'm not just trash talking (maybe a little) but i feel like the styling is slghtly off. What hurts the most is the set. I think MJ deserved sumthing a lil more elaborated, or at least not so "careless". It's not a complete disaster thanks to the good use of props and zombies (lol) but it's still not all that. I mean, take a look at the shot with the chimp...so stiff and blah (yes, i said it, BLAH!) and the cover is just "cute" till it kills you of boredoom. So my final though has to be: Thank God they used Agyness, otherwise it may have been a complete failure.
